Alexandria, who teaches jewelry and silversmithing has been working with a number of our students on an ongoing project focused on learning the basics of lapidary stone cutting and metal-smithing. Ali describes the process: “It involves starting with raw materials and transforming them into beautiful gemstones for use in jewelry. Following this, students create a design and bring it to life using metalworking techniques”. Our students are producing some beautiful pieces that we’ll showcase at the end of the project.
